The movie is public domain but I don't think there are any public domain prints in 3-D. The mid 90s Red & Green (Anaglyph) 3-d Video was reconstructed/approximated 3-D and not the original 3-D process . It is copyright to the video distribution company, Rhino, as a derivative work.

The original Field Sequential or polarized (dual projection) 3-D version that tours around America was owned by Richard L Rosenfeld and it contains copies of the only surviving elements of this type. This process is not as easily approximated on video that is why they used the other process on the 90s video. As far as I know there are no copies of these prints floating around other than for festival exhibition purposes.

Well, then I guess I'd better not step on the Rhino's toes. Sorry, quigs, can't do it. But if it's any consolation, Rhino still might have it available.

The offer was a nice thing to do. Sorry for the finger stutter everyone, I just love those old 3-D films. The submit
post wasn't working too well last night and there was a hand spasm...well, you understand.

Wow, was that a 3-D post? ;)

Personally, I hate 3-D unless it's a Viewmaster. :)

But that's just me... ;)
